Note of thanks…  to Jemma Dicken for the lovely sketch of the village that we have adopted as the SMART logo, ‘Thank you’.

Team membership – Following an open meeting in Autumn 2018, and a few meetings since then (establishing aims and structure), we have ‘set up’ a Team. Anyone can join – a warm welcome to all!

Currently 12 members of our community have pledged their support to help St Mary’s. We have formed a formal committee to manage the team and are supported by an increasing number of ‘friends’. Chairperson (Margret Maidlow), Publicity Secretary (Sarah Cooper), Minutes Secretary (Abi Hanafin), Treasurers (Carol Norman & Johnathan Andrews) and Fundraising officer (Jenny Boyce), supporting team members include Penny Blower, Andy Boyce, Katherine Calpaldi, David Chappell, Harold Jennings, Becca Miller.   If you are interested in joining please speak to one of the team or complete the reverse of the survey form with your contact details.  Fundraising – began this Summer and our first project is to raise funds to enable us to restore the churchyard wall.   The wall is in bad repair between the Church Hall and the lychgate.  Thank you to all who took part in our game ‘Pick a Brick’, we raised £129.00.

Heating system – We are also gathering information and researching the possibility of installing a heating system in the church.

Finally your views are so valuable and will determine what and how we plan for our communities’ future.
